Jennifer Watts, a B.A.C Trumpet Artist and Tejano Trumpet Artist, is the owner of the Greater Houston Brass Choir. With a harmonious and structured melody, she delivers a powerful musical tone. Here's a glimpse into her journey and achievements:
-
-
Jennifer draws inspiration from a wide range of genres, from Tejano to Mariachi, 80s to oldies, and musical to jazz.
-
Influenced by her cousin George Martinez from "La Mafia" and cousin Pete Espinoza from La Fiebre, Jennifer channels these experiences into her Tejano trumpet playing.
-
She expanded her musical horizons by playing with "Kingz1," a Cumbia band, and writing horn charts for Tejano bands/artists.
-
Jennifer pursued her vision of becoming a music educator, teaching various instruments and music theory at a local music store and dreaming of opening her own studio.
-
She founded the "Jwatts & Trompeta" music business, creating trumpet/piano and music shirts.
-
Jennifer established the "Greater Houston Brass Choir," performing for Vice President Mike Pence, Congressman Ted Poe, and composer Nathan Felix.
-
She is working on publishing a trumpet book called "My Lone Tone Book" and a practice log called "The Music Diary."
-
In 2023, Jennifer collaborated with her partner Athena to empower emerging female artists in the Tejano Music Industry through their entertainment business "Noche Tejana."
-
Jennifer's networking efforts in Texas led her to perform with various bands and orchestras, including the Houston Pride Band and Tejano artists like Magali Delarosa, Carolyn Rodriguez, Beatriz Gonzalez, Dj Athenz, Amanda Solis and more.
-
She was featured in "OutSmart Magazine" and "VoyageHouston.com" and is now a Trumpet Artist for B.A.C Musical Instruments, associated with the Houston Professional Musicians Association, BMI, ASCAP, and the Latin Grammys.
